Comments: A very popular houseplant due to its low-maintenance and attractive heart shaped leaves. Can be trained to climb moss totems but are typically grown as a trailing vine. Hederaceum does quite well when growing directly out of an aquarium filter. Philodendron hederaceum is often mislabelled as ‘cordatum’ which also means “heart shaped” but philodendron cordatum exist mainly in the wild and botanical gardens and is very seldom sold on the market. 

Toxicity:  Oral irritation, pain and swelling of mouth, tongue and lips, excessive drooling, vomiting, difficulty swallowing after ingestion.
