Common Issues: Root rot when sitting in water. Leaves will crisp in drafts or direct sun. Very dramatic droop when plant is thirsty.
Comments: A low-grounding spreading ground cover plant with attractive coloured veins across the leaves. Will readily flower when fertilized but is grown mainly for foliage. Often called a “drama-queen” due to the intense drooping it displays when experiencing a lack of water. Fittonia will easily bounce back after receiving water and return to normal. A mature plant in a container will trail down the side of the pot.
